I have had the reverse happen since moving to MD from NY. I came here with a purpose, something to accomplish, optimistic, knowing I was here for the long haul. It started out sucking, and I thought, "Hey, I know I'll change my mind! It'll get better!" It didn't. If I didn't meet the dude I'm still seeing and find the advisor I found, I'd have driven my ass back up I-95 as fast as the NJ state troopers would be willing to overlook. I hate MD so much. It is devoid of flavor. You know how John Cleese gets apoplectic with rage on Monty Python and/or Fawlty Towers? Sometimes, I wish I could have a Cleesian temper tantrum and get away with it... That is super awesome.

Only, everything I love is here and I'm not the sort of person who looks forward to building a life somewhere else. I wish I was, though, and I'm glad you are, because I love reading about these sorts of things happening and going really, really well.
