OH is of the ‘it’s fake and commercial’ school of thought (but has been known to do sweet things for me anyway) and I’m more “yes it’s commercial but what’s wrong with a day to celebrate love and hey there’s lots of half-price chocolate the day after so what’s not to like?’ We usually just use it as an excuse to treat ourselves more than usual as we go through our day so we’ll pop some champagne and have brie with the evening dvd.
